Relax, sunbathe, and swim at several different beautiful golden sandy beaches, all with their own unique charm. Visit the Muntanyans Nature Area, one of Costa Daurada’s best-preserved natural ecosystems. Hike along the cost and through beautiful pine trees forest and visit Castillo de Tamarit . Enjoy a good meal, rice dishes, tapas, and plenty of seafood at one of Altafulla’s or Torredembarra’s beach bars, with their spectacular views and relaxing atmosphere.




Cities and culture
Barcelona (1h by car / train)
Park your car for free at Altafulla train station (10 min from the house) and make a day trip to Barcelona. The train takes approximately one hour and costs EUR 8.05. Once in Barcelona you must see the works of the genius Gaudí and Catalan modernism: La Sagrada Familia, La Pedrera, Güell Park etc. Walk along the Ramblas and the Gothic Quarter.
Tarragona (15 min by car)
Tarragona is the closest “major” city (about 140,000 inhabitants) and has over 2000 years of history. Tarragona was the capital of Spain during the Roman Empire and is second only to Rome in the number of remains from the Roman Empire. Unlike Rome, visitors rave about being able to enjoy the ruins without the crowds. Have a look at Tarragona’s tourism site for more inspiration and if you come at the right time you must participate in the Tarraco Viva festival – a true adventure where you get to experience what it was like to live in the Roman Tarraco.
Reus (25 min by car)
Enjoy the modernism of the city of Reus, the city where Gaudi was born. Also visit the only interactive museum on Gaudí where you will learn the secrets behind this genius. Reus is also the city that was the first in Spain to produce Vermut, the drink that is a must with every Catalan aperitif.
Altafulla (5 min by car)

El puente del Diablo (15 min by car) Walk on top of the Roman aqueduct in Les Farreres. This aqueduct, also called the Devil’s Bridge, is part of the monuments in Tarraco that are on UNESCO’s heritage list. Read more here.

Cathedral of Tarragona
Visit the Cathedral of Tarragona, made from some of the granite stones from the old Roman amphitheatre, and then stop around the corner at an old candle shop. Read about the cathedral here.

Santes Creus (30 min by car)
Enjoy a visit to the Monastery of Santes Creus, founded in the 12th century. It is one of the best preserved monastery ensembles in Europe.
Poblet (45 min by car)
Visit the Cistercian Monastery of Poblet. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, there are still the monks who maintain life in society here.
Santuari del Montferri (20 min. with car) Visit Santuari del Montferri, also called the little La Sagrada familia. This church was built by Josep Maria Jujol, one of Antonies Gaudie’s disciples. This is perfect to visit in connection with the Andernes vineyard as it is located on the same road
Mas Miró in Montroig (30 min by car)
Visit Mas Miró in Montroig, the famous artist Joan Miró’s family’s summer residence.
Sant Salvador (20 min by car)
Visit Sant Salvador and the museum of the famous Catalan musician, Pau Casals.

Portaventura Amusement Park (30 min by car)
The park is Spain’s best amusement park and is also on the list among Europe’s best amusement parks. There is also a water palace. Read more here. Read more here.

Visit Cuevas de l’Espluga de Francolí and see mines already inhabited in the Paleolithic period.

Mediterranean sea (10 min med bil)
With 10 minutes to the beach there is also the opportunity to try all kinds of water sports or why not take a trip on a sailboat.

Wine tourism
Ardernats (20 min by car)
Visit the Andernats Winery in Nulles cooperative that has been producing wine since 1917, the same year the Wine Cathedral was built. In addition to tasting good wines and cava, you can also experience this Modernist Cathedral in which they still produce their wines today.
Priorat and Montsant (45 min – 1h by car)
Take a full day in DO Monsant and DOQ Priorat which is one of the world’s most renowned wine regions and together with Rioja the only wine region that has DOCa status. Priorat is known for its special soil, Licorella, as well as its terraced landscape.
Augustus Forum (25 min by car)
A small and cozy vineyard with proximity to the sea. In addition to fantastic wines, they also make an exclusive vinegar found at many 5 star restaurants in the world. Well worth a visit and opportunity to try both wine and vinegar.
