Things to do near Finca La Gunilla

There is much to do near Finca La Gunilla

To live at Finca La Gunilla is to enjoy calm and beauty in the middle of nature while being close to everything.

Walking Distance

There are renowned hiking and biking trails right outside our gate. From the farm you can also walk to the mouth of the river Gaià and enjoy the beach. The beautiful Castle of Tamarit is about 1h 15 min walk along the river and through olive groves. A 15 minute walk under an old bridge and through olive groves takes you to the small village of La Riera de Gaía. There you can buy fresh bread and other Catalan pastries in the authentic bakery where they still bake almost everything from scratch. The village also has a fruit and vegetable shop, a delicatessen known for its magnificent sausages, and a meat shop whose butchers themselves breed their lambs. It is hard to find more locally produced food for your evening barbecue! A little further away is the village of La Noe de Gaia. La Noe de Gaia is home to a cooperative selling olive oil, nuts, and wine and is just a beautiful village to stroll around in and walk up to the viewpoint. If you want to take a longer walk you can continue the hike to La Pobla de Montorness. There is a good restaurant and the road there is beautiful and lined with vineyards. You can also walk to Castillo de Baix Gaìa, the castle in the village of El Catllar. It is a nice walk that passes the village of La Riera de Gaia and takes about 1h.
